Asus has been launching the new Zenfone devices for this year in its flagship lineup of smartphones. The company is getting ready to launch the much-awaited upgrade from its Zenfone 3 series and the Zenfone 4 series from the company is expected to come in the month of July or August. However, Asus is all set to release a new phone in the Zenfone series which was first showcased by the company at the MWC in Barcelona earlier this year. This smartphone is the Asus Zenfone AR and the smartphone has been heavily marketed on its features related to Augmented Reality as well as the name AR in it. The highlighting features of the Asus Zenfone AR include Google Daydream VR as well as Project Tango support. The Project Tango devices are built on the idea of being the modular phones where every part of the phone can be replaced with some other part.

As far as the Google Daydream support is concerned, the Daydream VR headset is the VR headset launched by Google last year and the headset currently supports only the Pixel devices and the Samsung Galaxy S8. Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Asus Zenfone AR features a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, a 23MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 64/128/256GB storage options. The device also has a 3,300mAh battery provides the juice for the device and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. As far as the internals are concerned, the Asus Zenfone AR has all the specs of a flagship other than the chipset which is the last year’s Snapdragon 821 rather than the Snapdragon 835 chipset which is seen on the current flagship devices.

As far as the pricing and availability options of the smartphone in India are concerned, the company has not revealed any details about the phone’s pricing and we have also not received any details about the same. Stay tuned to know more about the Asus Zenfone AR in India on July 13.
