Asus has launched a new smartphone in its Zenfone lineup of smartphones which is known as the Zenfone AR. One thing to note here is that Zenfone AR has been launched in the Philippines market currently. The smartphone is priced in the Philippines at PHP 44,995. One interesting detail about the smartphone is that the Zenfone AR is among the very few smartphones to come with Daydream support. This means that the smartphone is compatible with the recently launched Daydream VR headset by Google. Also, the smartphone comes as a part of Project Tango which is known for its modular parts as well as customizations. Zenfone AR from Asus also comes with 8GB RAM support which is only currently available in OnePlus 5.
The Asus ZenFone AR is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Asus ZenFone AR packs a 23-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. On top of this, the smartphone features a comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. The Asus ZenFone AR runs Android 7.0 and is powered by a 3300mAh non-removable battery. The Asus ZenFone AR is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
Talking about the camera, the primary camera which is a 23-MP camera is powered by 4-axis OIS, 3x zoom, PDAF, and depth, motion tracking sensors to give the best pictures. Also, the Zenfone AR from Asus is scheduled to come soon in India as announced by the company. The smartphone is currently on sale in Philippines priced at PHP 44,995 which is approximately Rs. 58,000 which is also the expected price when the smartphone comes to Indian markets.
