Smartphones in the recent years have segregated themselves into dedicated machines for various purposes. There are a few phones out there with the excellent camera setup offering itself for all kinds of high-end photography, videography, etc. Again, there are devices that are more of gaming consoles exclusively built for high-end gaming. When we talk g gaming phones, the first thing that comes to our mind is the Razer Phone. Yes.! the sleek design, those LED logos, and loaded spec sheet. We saw in the last couple of years Razer Phone and its successive 2nd generation phone released and well received by the enthusiasts. The device is also available via US tele-carrier AT&T. Currently, the carrier is rolling out September 2019 security patch for AT&T Razer Phone 2.
It is a long due maintenance update for the device. The 81.7 MB of update only steps up the security patch level of the device. This software is based on Android 9.0 Pie. However, users who are using the global or unlocked version of Razer Phone 2 deny getting any new update. We believe that OTAs roll in batches and also this one is a tele-carrier-specific update. So, we can advise to patiently wait for the OTA to roll into all the devices.
In fact, all AT&T Razer Phone 2 users may not get to see the update at one time. It will be available gradually. However, you can manually search for the software. Go to device Settings > System Update > Check for Updates. Other non-carrier Razer Phone 2 users should also perform the above drill to check for any incoming update.
The update is not a huge file. Still, we will recommend you to use Wi-Fi to quickly download the update. Have a battery level of 50% or more during the whole update process.
So, that’s it. If you got the gaming machine Razer Phone 2 from AT&T, watch out for the new September 2019 update. It may roll in anytime soon.
