BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X unveiled officially

In the last month, the company launched the BlackBerry Key 2 Snapdragon 660 powered smartphone in the Indian market. Now the company and its Indian manufacturing partner Optiemus unveiled the new Evolve series in India. There are two smartphones announced in the Indian market by the company, called BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X. These are the first phones from the company that support 18:9 aspect ratio with the tall display. Both the phones come with a massive battery, dual rear camera and Android Oreo OS.

BlackBerry Evolve

BlackBerry Evolve smartphone comes with 5.99-inch IPS display that supports 2160 x 1080 pixels of resolution and offers 18:9 aspect ratio. The Evolve powered by Octa-core CPU under the hood which clocks at 1.8 GHz. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset on board, but that’s still built on an efficient 14nm process. The phone comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage option along with micro SD card slot on board that supports up to 256 GB external storage.

BlackBerry Evolve

The BlackBerry Evolve featured with vertically placed dual camera sensors and dual-tone LED flash on the back side. There is a 13-megapixel main RGB camera with f/2.0 aperture and 13-megapixel monochrome secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture on the back side. The rear cameras of the phone can record 4K autofocus, HDR, slow-motion video and refocus mode and other features. On the front side, there is a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 78-degree wide angle for taking selfies and video callings. The phone also comes with a flashlight on the front side.

It packed with 4,000 mAh capacity battery inside the body and also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 feature. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging feature on the Evolve. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. The company also included some of the main features on the BlackBerry Evolve smartphone including BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Privacy Shade that prevents others from viewing whats on the screen, DTEK security, BlackBerry Password Keeper for securing passwords and BlackBerry Power Center that optimizes the battery life to last longer by examining the usage pattern.

In terms of connectivity, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack port, USB-C port, USB OTG and more. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back side of the phone. The phone also supports face unlock feature. The BlackBerry Evolve smartphone will available in black color only. The company set the price of the Evolve is Rs. 24,990 (~$365). It will available exclusively via Amazon India.

BlackBerry Evolve X

The BlackBerry Evolve X comes with same 5.99-inch IPS display that supports 2160 x 1080 pixels of resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. In previous smartphones, the company used the fingerprint scanner on the back side, this time there is no room for it at the bottom. The fingerprint scanner paced on the back side of the phone. Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core CPU which clock at 2.2 GHz. Just like the BlackBerry Key2, the Evolve X also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset onboard along with Adreno 512 for better graphics experience.

There is a 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage present in the phone along with micro SD card slot that supports up to 256 GB external storage. The BlackBerry Evolve X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. It packed with 4,000 mAh capacity battery inside the body that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology feature. The phone also supports wireless charging option and users will get wireless charging adapter in the box package.
