  1. My daughter and I each have a Moto X4, bought separately and from different places, but between 12 and 18 months ago. We run the Google Fi OS.

Recently each of us has had a problem which seems to recur irregularly. The screen goes blank. The phone does not shut off, and if I am on a call, it is not interrupted. You just can’t see, and therefore can’t change anything. I’m not sure whether, if I knew just where to touch on the screen, it would do what I want, but that would be a difficult task.

When it first happened, I thought it might have something to do with battery saver mode, but taking it out of that hasn’t made a difference. I play around with the on/off button, and the volume buttons, and also connecting to or disconnecting from a charger, and it has made no difference. The only thing I can do is to shut down the phone (in the normal manner), and restart it. Of course, that ends my call or whatever application I’m in. Since my daughter and I are both having this problem, I assume that it is not unique to our phones, and that others have experienced it. HELP!! Thanks.
