Design
Available in 3 different body colour options; Gold, Black, and Starry Blue, the Cubot Note Plus rear curved metal body is smooth… and a finesse.
The above images showcases the elegance and beauty of the metal and plastic mix the device is made of. The three hard buttons on the left side of the device (when viewed from the rear) are made of plastic and are in the volume up-volume down-power button arrangement from top to bottom respectively.
The glass covering on the front of the is slightly curved on both left and right edges for easy grip and holding the hands. There are also three soft navigation keys right below the device’s display.
The dual speaker grills at the bottom of the device allows the device produce the best of audio quality whenever you play songs or watch movies. in the middle of both loudspeaker is the micro USB port for charging the device and for file transfer. The 3.5mm headphone jack is located at the top of the Note Plus.
Display
Cubot armed the Note Plus smartphone with a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen. I already mentioned that the screen is 2.5D curved and how it helps it make the Cubot Note Plus look really premium and attractive. The display has a FHD resolution and has a high pixel density (424 ppi).
Processor, OS, and Storage
Being a mid-range budget smartphone, the Cubot Note Plus uses the affordable MediaTek MT6737T chop which comes equipped with 3GB of RAM, Mali T720 GPU, and four (Quad) Cortex-A53 cores that can clock a frequency of up to 1.5GHz.
The Cubot Note Plus comes out-of-the-box running the Android Nougat v7.0 operating system and comes pre-installed with the following applications; Gmail, Google Play Store, Google Maps, Flashlight, Clock, Calendar, Calculator, World Clock, and Sound Recorder.
Per storage, you get 32GB built-in memory with the option to expand to up to 128GB via Micro-SD card.
Camera
The Note Plus comes with a total of 2 cameras; one on the rear and one on the front. Both optical sensors are identical as they both are of 13-megapixels quality and can both be interpolated up to 16-megapixels.
However, while the rear camera comes with dual LED flash, the selfie camera has only one.
Battery
Under the hood, there is a removable 2,800mAh Lithium-Ion battery that is capable of giving a talk time of up to 9 hours. The Cubot Note Plus lacks the Quick Charge feature which means charging the device may take a long time to charge up (about 2 hours 30 minutes).
