The Doogee BL7000 is a bug, heavy but great looking smartphone. Weighing about 220grams and having a thickness level measuring 11.0 mm, holding the Doogee BL7000 in the hands almost feels like you are holding a slab of stone. The bulkiness and heaviness of the device can, however, be attributed to the big battery embedded in the device. You want a device with a big and reliable battery? I guess you gonna have to be ready to carry it in your hands and pockets.
The Doogee BL7000 has a very attractive design and build, though. The rear of the device is covered in a roughly textured leather material —this allows for firm grip when holding in the hands. There are two lenses and LED flash present at the top, surrounded by a metal frame for optimal photography experience.
The cameras on the rear are both 13-megapixels Samsung ISOCELL wide-angle sensors which has features like optical image stabilization, macro mode, and phase detection autofocus (PDAF).
On the front, there is a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 curved on both edges protecting the underlying 5.5-inches Full HD display (manufactured by SHARP). At the top of the display, a 13-megapixels selfie camera and front-facing LED flash are present. This makes it three 13-megapixels sensors on the Doogee BL7000.
Below the display is a home button which has a fast 360-degree DTouch fingerprint sensor embedded in it. Fingerprint identification and device unlock all take place within 0.1 second.
The built-in 7,060mAh battery of the Doogee BL7000 gives up to 16 hours of 3D gaming and 35 hours of GPS navigating. Thanks to the inherent Quick charge feature of the device, the huge battery charges up in less than 3 hours.
Volume adjustment keys, power button, and SIM port all lie in the right-hand side of the device. The BL7000 supports two Nano SIM cards and one micro SD card; the SD card slot can only take as much as 128GB.
Other hardware and software components of the Doogee BL7000 include 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an octa-core MediaTek 6750 chip with 1.5GHz clock speed, Mali T880 graphics unit, and Android v7.0 operating system.
Save for the fact that the Doogee BL7000 doesn’t come with waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof features, it would have been a perfect rugged smartphone. However, the device is a perfect choice if you are looking for a device that not only offers battery, but high performance.
