Manually Update Android Nougat for Moto G5 (NPP25.137-33) vai ADB Fastboot

  1. Now go to the folder where you have extracted the ADB and Fastboot Tools
  2. Download Stock ROM for Moto G5 from above list of Moto G5 Stock Firmware Collections and save it in ADB folder.
  3. Now Reboot Moto G5 to Recovery Mode.
  4. Select Apply Update from ADB.
  5. Plug the phone into PC using USB Cable, then open a command prompt window by pressing Shift Key + Right Mouse Click

  6. Now execute the below command in CMD screen.
    adb sideload Filename.zip
  7. Wait until Installation process Completes.
  8. Once the Installation completed. Reboot the Phone.

Manually Update Android Nougat for Moto G5 (NPP25.137-33) via Recovery

  1. First of all, Go to Settings –> About Phone –> Tap on Build Number 7 Times.
  2. Go to Developer Options –> Enable USB Debugging.
  3. Download Android Nougat for Moto G5 from above and save it in Internal storage.
  4. Now Reboot Moto G5 Plus to Recovery Mode.
  5. Select Apply Update from SD Card.
  6. Select the Downloaded ZIP file from SD Card.
  7. Wait until Installation process Completes.
  8. Once the Installation completed. Reboot the Phone.

  3. Hello, do I need to unlock the bootloader or root to do the second method?

    I’m using the stock rom, but for some reason my phone is indicating a unlocked bootloader when I turn it on.
    The problem is that it is locked and my smartphone is not rooted.
    I’m willing that flashing the stock rom again will solve the problem.
