Google is already rolling high with the rollout of the Android 11 Beta 1 update. What’s New In July 2020 Security Update?
As already mentioned above, this latest July 2020 security update fixes 7 issues and 17 severe vulnerabilities. But, this new update does not arrive with the Pixel Drop feature and Pixel does not outline any of the noticeable fixes for the Pixel devices. The fixed vulnerabilities range from high to critical with the most severe vulnerability relating to the media framework. There is no exact changelog available for this July 2020 security update for the Google Pixel phones.
Check for OTA Updates
Well, before manually installing the update, we would advise Google Pixel phone users to check for the update via OTA. This eases out the process where you just need to download the package file and it will automatically update your phone. So, in order to check for the July 2020 security update, you need to head over to Settings > System > System Update > Check for Update.
If there is a new update available, then you can tap on it to install the latest update on your Pixel device as it will keep your device safe with the latest July 2020 security update. Make sure to use a stable internet connection or WiFi to download this update.
