Huawei will begin the global roll-out of EMUI 9.0 on select devices starting November 10th. The beta update program was launched a month ago and now the stable version is here. Emotion User Interface abbreviated as EMUI is the Huawei’s own skin on top of Android. EMUI 9.0 is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and brings many new features to the table for Huawei users. The announcement was made on Chinese Social-Media Website Weibo by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei.
A total of 9 devices from Huawei will be getting the EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie update. The names of the devices have been included below.
- Huawei P20
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10 ( Porsche Edition )
- Huawei Mate RS ( Porsche Edition )
- Honor View 10
- Honor Play
- Honor 10
If you have any of the above devices then you can expect the update very soon.
EMUI 9.0 focusses on Optimization, Speed and fluidity. This new version incorporates the turbo boost 2.0 technology which supports a variety of games, more games will be added in the coming future. App opening times have been also optimized and now the apps launch 25% faster compared to previous versions. Security has also been one of the bigger emphasis in this update.
