How to Hide Your Hidden Photos Gallery on iPhone

Before we list down the steps for the afore-mentioned task, let’s address the elephant in the room. iOS 14 has now introduced the ability to even hide your Hidden Albums. While that’s great, but not without flaws. The thing is that this Hidden Album will always be always available in the image picker. It scores on the ease of usability considering we could easily access all our hidden images as and when required.

But unfortunately, some might argue that it destroys the whole Privacy thing, and we cannot blame them either. Until and unless Apple introduces the ability to hide these images under a Passcode, this might not come across as a privacy-centric feature. Anyways, with that said, here are the required instructions to hide your hidden photos gallery on your iPhone.

Steps to Follow

  1. Launch the Settings menu on your iPhone device.
  2. Scroll to the Photos section and tap on it.
  3. Finally, simply disable the Hidden Album toggle.

  4. By disabling the toggle, we are instructing Apple not to show the Hidden Albums under the Albums section.

On that note, that was all the required steps. As already mentioned, even this features suffer from a drawback. If someone gets accessed to your unlocked device and knows a thing or two about the Apple ecosystem, he/she could easily just re-enable the Hidden Albums and get access to your ‘hidden’ photos.

So let’s hope that Apple introduces the feature to hide our desired photo albums under a password. What are your views on this?
