This has led to the upsurge of hundreds (if not thousands) of smartphones with amazing specifications that sell for less than $100 out there in the phone space.
The HOMTOM S16 is a mid-range smartphone that comes in at an under $100 price tag. Despite the low price, the device still packs decent over $100 phone features like a big 5.5-inch display, Android Nougat operating system, great dual camera system, and big battery.

Being a low priced smartphone, the Homtom S16 is made completely out of plastic. At 8.5mm, the device is also a relatively thick and tidbit bulky. There are three soft navigation keys below the 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen and a 5-megapixels selfie camera at the top. The display has a 1280 x 640 pixel resolution and is wide enough to provide a stunning viewing experience when watching movies, or during have play.
The 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro USB port are located at the device’s top.
The back/rear of the HOMTOM S16 is available three different colours: Black, Blue, and White, and it is roughly texture for easy grasp during usage. The back cover is removable (detachable) and underneath, lies the ports for the dual SIM cards, micro SD card, and battery. The S16 comes with 16GB of internal storage space and the SD card slot can take TF card up to 32GB.

The Homtom S16 has a dual camera system of 13MP primary lens and secondary 2MP lens on the rear. The dual lenses are separated by a single LED flash. The pill-shaped fingerprint sensor flanked to the left side of the rear camera … and it is a great addition.
The Homtom S16 is powered by MediaTek’s MT6580 chip (Quad-core), 2GB RAM, and Mali 440 graphics processor. You shouldn’t expect the device to perform flawlessly when faced with high-end heavy games but average performance is guaranteed.
