But, there is a mod, thanks to Xda Senior Member, acervenky, via which you can enable the dual speaker on Realme X. This mod will use the speaker and the earpiece as the secondary speaker without damaging it. So, in this post, we will share with you a guide on how to enable dual speaker on Realme X using Mod.

The device comes with three storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB but lacks a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage.

The device runs on the latest Android 9 Pie with the Color OS 6 on top. The main USP of Realme X lies in the dual-camera setup at the back that houses the latest 48MP (f/1.7) lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. In the front, the device has a motorized pop-up selfie camera that sports a 16MP (f/2.0) single shooter for selfies. The front camera can also record 30FPS@1080p. Besides, you also get an under-display fingerprint scanner as well.

How to Enable Dual Speaker on Realme X Using Mod

Note that this mod will work on devices that have root access. If you are not rooted then, you need to first unlock the bootloader of the Realme X and then flash a custom recovery like TWRP and then root the device. Only after that, this mod will work as the mod requires some special permission which can be gained only if you have root access on the Realme X.

Steps To Install Dual Speaker Mod on Realme X

  1. Firstly, download the dual speaker mod for the Realme X from the download section above.
  2. Now, you need to rename the original mixer file name only if you have downloaded the booster version of the mod.
  3. Copy the modified mixer file and paste it in the location /system/vendor/etc
  4. Then, replace the original mixer file. (Make sure to take a backup and copy the original mixer path file in case you want to revert back)
  5. Now you need to reboot your Realme X.
  6. That’s it! Now you can enjoy the dual speaker stereo sound on the Realme X.
