Android Oreo is only 6 months old as of now. Yet, it has taken the forefront in taking Android to a whole new level of advanced mobile computing. Most of the Android smartphones from mid-range to that of flagships are getting their share of Oreo updates. Now ZTE Axon 7 also joins the league. Yes, you guessed it right.  ZTE Axon users are soon going to have a bite of the Oreo. In this post, we will tell you how you can join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test program. This has been officially announced by the ZTE forum of USA. The beta test will obviously target a small percentage of users in the US region currently. Those users will have the opportunity to be one of the first users to test the new Oreo builds on the Axon 7 A2017U.

Again a ZTE Axon user should have his device with the latest B35 firmware. This is a primary criterion to join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test program. If your device is not on the B35 software, then you can download and install the latest ZTE Axon B35 firmware. With that said, any forthcoming Oreo update the beta tester may get might have bugs. That’s pretty much the purpose of a beta testing. Development depends a lot on beta testers and builds are improved on reports provided by them. So, if you have any experience with Beta testing and can report bugs then join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test program.

ZTE Axon 7 is a dual SIM smartphone launched in August 2017. The phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. It runs on 1.6 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM. It comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. This device packs a 64 GB of expandable internal storage. Axon 7 brings a 20-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

Android 8.0 Oreo will bring all the regular features. This includes features such as Notification dots, picture-in-picture mode,auto-filler API, Bluetooth 5 etc.  It also further enables the system-level integration with VoIP apps and battery power optimization.

So, if you are interested to be apart of the Oreo soak testing program, then read on how to join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test program.

How To Join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test Program

It is a pretty simple process to register and join ZTE Axon 7 Android Oreo Beta Test Program. All you have to do is fill up a registration form that we have linked below. The registration form will ask your name and valid e-mail with which you have registered in the ZTE forum. You also have to submit your device IMEI number. Those who may wonder why the developers will send the Oreo OTA to your device only by knowing a registered IMEI number. In the form, you also have to mention your device’s current software build number. Also, there will be statement where you have to mention what ZTE products do you use.

As this Android Oreo beta test is happening in the US region, you must mention which carrier support your device is on.   Select your tele-carrier from the given bunch of carriers. You have to give a fair statement about your current data plans and use. Again you must mention a strong reason for why you should be selected as a Beta tester. The form mentions the fact that Beta build Oreo update might be buggy.  So, you have to accept the risk of bugs and glitches if they may occur with the update.

We cannot exactly mention why, but the form also asks what all Bluetooth products you use. It includes wearables and headphones etc. which you have to mention. We guess there might be some Bluetooth related feature Oreo Beta update may bring. These are pretty much all the information you have to mention on the registration form.
