The Last of Us 2 Journal Entry Locations Guide: Find Archivist Trophy

The recently launch Last of Us 2 has 20 total journal entry location collectibles, and for unlocking the Archivist trophy, you need to collect all these collectibles. Moreover, you will also need to collect the artifacts in order to unlock the Archivist trophy.

Jackson (Patrol)

In Jackson’s mission in the Patrol subchapter, you will get your first journal entry. In patrol areas, you and Dina will head into a building, and there you have to clutch through a small pass towards the railings and there talk to Dina for a second. Your Journal entry will automatically pop up near you.

Your next journal entry will be on the bookstore, where you get off your horse and take shelter from the storm. Get inside the bookstore through a white door there. You will see another door where Ellie will grab Eugene’s Firefly pendant. Go towards the beds. You will see the giraffe on the right end of the bed after entering the room.

Jackson (Packing Up)

The next journal entry is in the house section of the Jackson chapter. Go towards the kitchen, and there you will get an owl cup.

After that climb up the stairs goes into the first room there, you will find a guitar on the table that’s your next journal entry.

Seattle Day 1 (The Gate)

Here in this chapter, your first journal entry is at the front of the gate. For Seattle, you have to get off the horse on the first gate and climb up towards the front entrance.

Seattle Day 1 (Downtown)

In Synagogue, you can find your next journal entry that has been transformed into a ration distribution shop. At the ration shop, take the gas can and use a rope to get out from there. When you do that,  go towards the door then find a desk and open the drawer you see a note inside it, that is your journal entry.

You can find your next journal on one of the guard towers in the open area.

Seattle Day 1 (The Tunnels)

You will see a Shambler into the tunnel just kill him and then search his dead body when the entire fight is over but be sure not to move ahead as you can miss this journal.

Seattle Day 1 (The Birthday Gift)

After taking some lessons on swimming, you have come out of the woods. And before going into the museum to get the journal entry prompt, you have to go towards a little information plate near the dinosaur.

Go to the space part of the museum; there you will see the circular seats near the spaceships and rockets model. You will get your journal entry there.

Seattle Day 2 (HillCrest)

Once you have got to board the truck and move to another place, you will need to go to other stores. From there, Go to the Ruston coffee shop and see the banner in the front door.

Seattle Day 2 (Finding Strings)

This is true at the beginning of the chapter, after getting control over young Ellie, look to your right at the vista and walk over there for the journal prompt.

Seattle Day 2 (The Seraphites)

You will automatically find this one. When you scale up a building using a Rolling dumpster, and then you will be welcomed to the hospital. Ellie will automatically draw it in her journal.

 

The entry of the next journal is in the area where you first meet seraphites and shoot arrows so that you can get a mechanic to pull out arrows from your body. Kill them all and make your way forward. Don’t go into the hotel; instead, examine one of the bodies by the bus stop. There it will get the journal entry button.

Seattle Day 3 ( Road To The Aquarium)

When you meet Jessy, you will eventually make your own way to the library. Look for a child’s share on the right side of the room. Go towards it and examine the big mushroom to get your next journal entry.

Seattle Day 3 (The Flooded City)

When you have taken a boat in this chapter, you will eventually find the area where you will have to go out and get the door open. Instead of doing that, go to the left of the room and go up the stairs. Now just look out of the window at the top of the stairs for this journal entry.

Seattle Day 3 (Infiltration)

After a run-in with the dog in the final journal aquarium in the chapter, go left through an open door. Now again, turn left into the break room with the sleeping bags. Near the fridge, there is a duffle bag lying down and take out the coin. Now you need to examine that and get your next journal entry.

Santa Barbara (Pushing Inland)

In this chapter, you will be dropped into the house with some Shamblers and Stalkers. Save yourself from them and then find the window, once you find it jump through it to get out from there and then crawl through the broken wall. Immediately search for the busted up a police car, and there you will see an “L3 Look-At” prompt come up that your journal entry.

Santa Barbara (The Resort)

When you find the silenced SMG, you need to face some enemies around the train station, be careful.  Search for the van after the fight has finished and taken the final journal entry. But your Archivist trophy won’t show until you get all the artifacts.
