With its aim and objectives largely focused on making stylish and premium smartphones affordable for the masses, Leagoo has been on a success streak with many cheap, yet premium products to its name. One of the latest product from the 9-year old China-based smartphone manufacturer is the Leagoo T5C 4G smartphone.
The Leagoo T5C is a mid-range budget phone —with tidbit of high end and premium features— that sells at a pretty affordable price. The device is and degraded version of the Leagoo T5 and is also the first to feature Intel’s new mobile chip: the Spreadtrum 9853i chipset.

The Leagoo T5C has a dimension of 15.30 cm x 7.60 cm x 0.85 cm which makes it a perfect device to hold in the hands and easily operable with one hand. The front has the display, a home button, large 5-megapixels selfie camera, earpiece, proximity sensor, and LED light for image brightening when taking selfie images.
There are three navigation buttons at the bottom of the display … and it negates the essence of the physical home button — to an extent. The physical home button has a fingerprint sensor embedded in it for identification of prints for device unlock.
The screen is slightly curved on both left and right edges 5.5-inch display with a FHD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and 401ppi display density.
Like the original Leagoo T5, this device (the T5C) has a full metal body that has a matte feel and is available in available in Champagne Gold and Black colour options.
The Leagoo T5C has its USB charging port, loudspeaker grill, and 3.5m headphone jack at the bottom — an arrangement similar to that of the iPhone 6. The microphone is also at the bottom and it’s a fine arrangement, though a bit clumsy and crowded.
The dual camera on the rear are of the same size and are made of a primary 13MP and secondary 2MP lenses. There are dual LED flash to assist with night time photography or capturing image under conditions of low light. The hybrid SIM port are on the right side of the Leagoo T5C. You can either have dual SIM cards in the device, or one SIM card and a TF card.
Compared to the Leagoo T5, the Leagoo T5C comes with reduced storage properties. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage space. The hybrid port allows for expansion to the tune of 128GB via external TF card.
The Leagoo T5C uses the Intel Spreadtrum SC9853I (8-Cores with 1.8GHz frequency) which is based in Intel’s 14nm technology. In addition to this fats processor, you also get to enjoy close to stock Android experience with the Android v7.0 Nougat operating system.
The Leagoo T5C is a refined version of the earlier released Leagoo T5 smartphone. And though some specs of the device (selfie camera, RAM, ROM) we’re toned down, the Leagoo T5C is still a perfect value for money —an affordable budget smartphone you can buy without breaking the bank and with specs worth making it your next smartphone and maybe… daily driver.
