Today LG has started rolling the official firmware update for LG G7 ThinQ for Europe variant with model no LMG710EM. The update comes with software version G710EM10b which brings the latest Google Security patch and other regular bug fixes to the table. This update is still based on the Android 8.0 Oreo and not the improved version 8.1.
LG unveiled the G7 ThinQ smartphone earlier this month with AI and face recognition features. The LG G7 ThinQ comes with the most powerful specifications currently available for a 2018 flagship. It packs a Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The update has currently rolled via OTA (Over the air) for users in Europe region and will soon start to see the notification with build number G710EM10b. The rollout is in a staged manner. It may take a couple of days or weeks to reach every LG G7 ThinQ users. To receive the OTA update notification, you must be running stock firmware.
How to Update LG G7 ThinQ to G710EM10b [LMG710EM]
If you have the OTA update on your phone, then we do recommend you to install the February 2018 security patch update to keep your phone safe from vulnerabilities. Well if you have no update, then please check the OTA update manually by following the guide.
How to check OTA update on LG G7 ThinQ:
Go to settings—> about phone —> system update
If you have the update notification on your LG G7 ThinQ phone, then hit the DOWNLOAD button to start upgrading your phone to latest software version G710EM10b.
Before proceeding, please make sure your phone has enough charge of at least 50%, take a full backup before upgrading or downgrading your phone. To download the OTA file, you should be on a stable WiFi connection to enjoy uninterrupted software download.
Once if you have all this, you can proceed with upgrading LG G7 ThinQ to G710EM10b.
