Today LG K8 with model number K350n started receiving the latest update. The update brings the Blueborne security fix and also the Krack WiFi Vulnerbrities fix. If you are using LG K8 with K350n variant, then you may receive the update on your phone anytime soon. Along with this update, LG also added the November Security patch for the year 2017. The update bumps the build number to K350n10i which is v10i.
The update is rolling via OTA (Over the air) in a phase-wise manner. You may receive the update on your p[hone anytime soon. In case if you don’t receive the update, make sure to check the OTA manually. Follow the below guide on How to check for the latest update manually.
In case if you still not received the update on LG K8, then don’t get panic. As we all know, the update is currently rolling in phase wise manner. It is normal that some may receive the update and some may not. You may receive the update in next phase or something. So before that make sure that your device is not rooted or installed any recovery. Rooting will block the OTA update on any phone.
Before proceeding to download, make sure your phone has enough battery backup with at least 50% battery. Also, check if you have enough storage to download and install the latest update of K350n10i (V10i) on LG K8. We suggest you to choose a Wi-Fi or a 4G connection to download it. Also, don’t forget to take the data backup to avoid any problem in case things go wrong. After following the procedure mentioned above, you can now start downloading the update on your phone. As this update only brings security patch, it wouldn’t take a lot of time to download and install.
