Today US Cellular carrier started rolling March 2020 security patch to their LG V40 ThinQ devices. The update gets the software version to V405UA20F and still based on Android 9.0 Pie. According to the changelog, the update has nothing new except the security patch fixes. There is no info when the device will get the Android 10 update either.

If you have not received the update, then you can check for the software update manually on your device by following our instructions given here.  To check new software updates, Go to device Settings > General > About phone > Update Center. Then tap on System updateCheck for update. This will show you the new version if something is available.

The update will not reach every user. It may take days or weeks to get the official OTA update as it is rolling via OTA in a phase-wise manner. If you have got the download package, then you can manually install the software update by using LG Flash Tool.

LG V40 ThinQ 5G Specifications: Overview

LG V40 ThinQ was announced in August 2018 which sports a 6.4-inch P-OLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The device has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 83.6 %.

LG V40 ThinQ is powered by an Octa-core (4×2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4×1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. It also supports an external memory card. The device came out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo and backed by a 3300 mAh battery (Non-removable).

As far as the camera concerned, the device has a triple-camera setup with 12MP + 12MP + 16MP primary sensors and a selfie camera with an 8MP + 5MP lens.
