Back in June 2019, LG launched its new”W” series of smartphones. This series was a comeback for LG to the budget series. These smartphones were decently specified and reasonably priced. These smartphones were only available online. The brand launched LG W10, W30 and W30 Pro in various markets. All of us were surprised at the launch event because skipping W20 and going instead with W30. But now reports suggest that LG will soon debut their “LG W20”! The device has appeared in Google Play Console listing, this was found by 91mobiles.
LG W20 Key Specs!
You guys may have got an idea about where this smartphone sits i.e. as the naming suggests this will sit around LG W10 and LG W30. As always, this listing provides some key specifications of the upcoming device. This listing also gives the frontal design of the upcoming device. According to the listing, the LG W20 will sport run a budget Spreadtrum SC9863A chipset which pairs with 3GB of RAM.
For those who don’t know this chipset, this is a budget chipset which was launched back in 2018. This chipset comes with eight Cortex A55 cores clocked up to 1.6Hz. The chipset also couples PowerVR GE8322 GPU for graphics purposes. However, the device will sport an HD+ display aKa with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and will have a pixel density of 320 PPI. Talking about the design of the upcoming LG W10, it features slim bezels on both sides and a sizeable chin. Sadly, the console listing didn’t reveal any images of the rear of the smartphone.
As per the listing, the LG W20 will run on the Android 9.0 Pie which we expect to run on Stock Android like its predecessors. This is the only information we’ve right now about the device. we’re expecting more information to appear on the web in the coming months. In terms of pricing, we’re expecting it to come with a price tag of $126 just like the previous generation LG W10.
LG W30 and LG W30 Pro
The LG W30 and LG W30 Pro sports similar specifications except for the processor. The device sports a 6.26-inch HD+ U FullVision display with Water Drop notch. The display has an aspect ratio of 19:9 with 86% screen to body ratio. There is also an option to hide the notch and also to turn it into a waterdrop notch.
MediaTek Helio P22 which couples PowerVR GE8320 GPU draws the power for the LG W30. While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 which couples Adreno 506 chipset powers the LG W30 Pro. This is the only difference between both devices. Both the smartphone pairs with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This storage is further expandable via a microSD card.
Talking about the optics, both the devices have a triple rear camera setup. This triple rear camera setup includes a primary 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor which pairs with a secondary 13MP Ultra-Wide sensor with a field of view of 100 degrees and finally a 2MP depth sensor. The primary 12MP sensor can also act as a low light sensor. To the front, both the devices have a 16MP sensor.
The smartphones pack a massive 4,000 mAh battery, but they doesn’t support fast charging. Both the devices run on Stock Android Pie out of the box instead of their usual bloated UI. Both the device comes in different color options like Aurora Green, Platinum Grey, and Thunder Blue. The pricing of the LG W30 starts at Rs 9,999 for the single 3GB & 32GB variant.
The LG W10 sports a 6.19-inch HD+ U FullVision display with a notch. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9:9. The notch contains the front camera and front flash, as it’s wider notch compared to W30 & W30 Pro.
