Blackview BV9100 was launched in the year 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. If you are looking for a new custom ROM for the device, then you are in the right place. Today, we will guide on how to install Lineage OS 17.1 on Blackview BV9100 based on Android 10 GSI. Well, after the Android 8.1 update, most of the devices that came out officially supports the GSI.

Well, GSI stands for Generic System image which is an unmodified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code, runnable on a variety of Android devices that has treble support. If you are using the Blackview BV9100, then you can follow this guide to install the Lineage OS 17.1 on your device. As we already said, this build is based on Android 10, which is Google’s 10th version of Android OS with plenty of new features and system UI changes.

Blackview BV9100 was announced in October 2019 which sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

Blackview BV9100 is powered by a 4x 2.3 GHz ARM Cortex-A53, 4x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A53, Cores: 8 with  MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765V/WA) chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also supports an external memory card. The device came out of the box with Android 9.0 Pie and backed by a 6580 mAh battery (Non-removable).

As far as the camera concerned, the device has a dual-camera setup with 16MP + 0.3MP primary sensors and a selfie camera with an 16MP lens. Other connectivity option includes 4G-VoLTE, GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, Mobile Hotspot, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass. etc. The Blackview BV9100 comes with a face unlock feature.

What’s on the Android 10 version?

Google has officially unveiled the latest version of Android OS called Android 10. The update is already going live for Pixel series devices. It brings plenty of new features to the device system like system UI, new gesture navigation, improved privacy and location control. The update also offers enhanced app permissions, foldable display support, security features, system-wide dark mode, etc.

The Android 10 also offers built-in call screening, multi-camera API, smart replies in the notification panel, 5G support, improved call quality, bubble feature, live caption, and more. While the latest version also improves battery life, Focus mode which is similar to the Do Not Disturb mode, etc. Apart from that Android 10 also features 65 new emojis. Lineage OS is an open-source and free operating system that is based on the Android platform. It is the successor to the custom MOD, the CyanogenMod, which shut down its operation in December 2016. However, Cyanogen. Inc retained the rights to the custom MOD and gave a rebranding to it as Lineage OS.
