Blackview BV9900 Device Overview
The Blackview BV9900 sports a 5.84 inches IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. This means that it has a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. This IPS LCD display has a screen to body ratio of 83 percent, an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 432 Pixel Per Inch ( PPI ).
Coming to the internals, the Blackview BV9900 features the flagship MediaTek Helio P90 SoC. To the GPU side, this SoC pairs with the IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. This Helio P90 performs better than Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. Talking about the memory options in which this is available. It is available with a single variant i.e. with 8GB of RAM. To the other side, it is available with onboard storage of 256GB. This is also expandable via a micro SD card up to 256GB.
Talking about the optics, the Blackview BV9900 features a quad camera setup. This quad-camera setup includes a primary 48MP Sony IMX 582 sensor with an aperture value of f/1.79 and with PDAF. Technically this Sony IMX 582 sensor and Sony IMX 586 sensor doesn’t have any difference other than this IMX 586 sensor can shoot videos up to 4K resolution at 60 fps. This primary sensor pairs with a secondary 16MP ultra wide-angle sensor. It has a tertiary 5MP depth sensor and finally a 2MP macro sensor.
The Blackview BV9900 comes with a massive 4,380 mAh battery that charges over the USB type C port. This battery also supports for 18W fast charging i.e. with 9V and 2A. It also support for 10W wireless charging. This device comes with the Android 9 Pie on board and will be upgraded to Android 10 soon. As we have said above, this is a rugged smartphone, so it comes to various certifications. This is certified with the MIL-STD-810G, so as it is compliant with it, this can be used in extreme weather conditions. It is also certified by IP68 or IP69K, this means that it can withstand in water over 1.5 meters for almost 30 minutes.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot. Bluetooth v5.0, A2DP, LE. GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou. NFC, USB Type-C, USB 2.0. Sensors on this smartphone include Ambient Light, Accelerometer, Thermometer, Heart Rate, Pedometer, Gyroscope, Barometer, UV Meter, Altimeter, Humidity, Proximity, and Compass.
