Back in June 2018, the brand unveiled its Lenovo Z5 smartphone. This was the latest budget offering from the brand and it had awesome specifications.
After rolling the Android 10 GSI build by phhusson, Today we have the Lineage OS 17.1 for the Lenovo Z5 based on Android 10 GSI. Thanks to the XDA Recognized Contributor AndyYan for sharing this Lineage OS 17.1 on XDA Forum. To install this, you need to unlock your device bootloader and you can use either ADB fastboot method or TWRP Method (if available).
GSI stands for Generic System image which is an unmodified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code, runnable on a variety of Android devices that has treble support. If you are using the Lenovo Z5, then you can follow this guide to install the Lineage OS 17.1 on your device. As we already said, this build is based on Android 10, which is Google’s 10th version of Android OS with plenty of new features and system UI changes.

Lenovo Z5 Specifications: Overview
The Lenovo Z5 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. Has a 6 GB of RAM to help in the computation power. There are two storage variants but both come with the same 6 GB of RAM. There are options for a 64 GB and a 128 GB storage.
In the optics department, the primary dual set has a 16 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP camera for depth data. As we spoke earlier about the keywords of 2018. The camera is assisted by ‘AI’ and has support for 4D beauty mode. On the other side, there is an 8 MP at f/2.0 for selfies with beauty mode support.
Let’s talk about the software now! The phone runs in Android Oreo out of the box. With ZUI 4.0 on top of Android, the company promised an update for Android P. With ZUI 4.0, comes the support for U-Touch 4.0 Screen gestures.
What’s on the Android 10 version?
Google has officially unveiled the latest version of Android OS called Android 10. The update is already going live for Pixel series devices. It brings plenty of new features to the device system like system UI, new gesture navigation, improved privacy and location control. The update also offers enhanced app permissions, foldable display support, security features, system-wide dark mode, etc.
The Android 10 also offers built-in call screening, multi-camera API, smart replies in the notification panel, 5G support, improved call quality, bubble feature, live caption, and more. While the latest version also improves battery life, Focus mode which is similar to the Do Not Disturb mode, etc. Apart from that Android 10 also features 65 new emojis. It also comes with direct audio streaming support to hearing aid devices.
Lineage OS 17.1: Android 10 Build
Lineage OS is an open-source and free operating system that is based on the Android platform. It is the successor to the custom MOD, the CyanogenMod, which shut down its operation in December 2016. However, Cyanogen. Inc retained the rights to the custom MOD and gave a rebranding to it as Lineage OS.
Well, LineageOS 17 will be based on the latest Android 10 and it comes with all the Android 10 features and Lineage customization options which allows users to be more advanced. Now you can enjoy Lineage OS 17.1 on Lenovo Z5 by flashing this custom ROM.
