Most of the readers would know about Symphony by the time since we have written some articles about their smartphones. Symphony is a budget smartphone vendor which has operations in most countries. Back in August 2018, the brand unveiled its Symphony i120 smartphone. This was the latest budget offering from the brand and it had awesome specifications.

After rolling the Android 10 GSI build by phhusson, Today we have the Lineage OS 17.1 for the Symphony i120 based on Android 10 GSI. Thanks to the XDA Recognized Contributor AndyYan for sharing this Lineage OS 17.1 on XDA Forum. To install this, you need to unlock your device bootloader and you can use either ADB fastboot method or TWRP Method (if available).

GSI stands for Generic System image which is an unmodified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code, runnable on a variety of Android devices that has treble support. If you are using the Symphony i120, then you can follow this guide to install the Lineage OS 17.1 on your device. As we already said, this build is based on Android 10, which is Google’s 10th version of Android OS with plenty of new features and system UI changes.

Symphony i120 Specifications: Overview

Symphony i120 was announced in August 2018 which sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels.

Symphony i120 is powered by an ARM Cortex-A53, 1500 MHz, Cores: 4 with MediaTek MT6739 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also supports an external memory card. The device came out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo and backed by a 3200 mAh battery (Non-removable).

As far as the camera concerned, the device has a single-camera setup with 13MP primary sensors and a selfie camera with an 8MP lens. Other connectivity option includes 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, Mobile Hotspot, accelerometer, proximity sensor.

What’s on the Android 10 version?

Google has officially unveiled the latest version of Android OS called Android 10. The update is already going live for Pixel series devices. It brings plenty of new features to the device system like system UI, new gesture navigation, improved privacy and location control. The update also offers enhanced app permissions, foldable display support, security features, system-wide dark mode, etc.

The Android 10 also offers built-in call screening, multi-camera API, smart replies in the notification panel, 5G support, improved call quality, bubble feature, live caption, and more. While the latest version also improves battery life, Focus mode which is similar to the Do Not Disturb mode, etc. Apart from that Android 10 also features 65 new emojis. It also comes with direct audio streaming support to hearing aid devices.

Lineage OS 17.1: Android 10 Build

Lineage OS is an open-source and free operating system that is based on the Android platform. It is the successor to the custom MOD, the CyanogenMod, which shut down its operation in December 2016. However, Cyanogen. Inc retained the rights to the custom MOD and gave a rebranding to it as Lineage OS.

Well, LineageOS 17 will be based on the latest Android 10 and it comes with all the Android 10 features and Lineage customization options which allows users to be more advanced. Now you can enjoy Lineage OS 17.1 on Symphony i120 by flashing this custom ROM.
