How to Install macOS Catalina v10.15.6 Beta 1

New updates are added on June 3, 2020: Apple has now seeded the supplemental update of the macOS Catalina 10.15.5 with version macOS 10.15.6 first beta. The update has been pushed for the registered developers as well as the public testers. As per Apple, here are the details of the patch:

Available for: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, macOS Catalina 10.15.5
Impact: An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges
Description: A memory consumption issue was addressed with improved memory handling.

New updates are added on February 23, 2020: Apple has made the macOS Catalina v10.15.4 beta 2 updates live for the users. You can follow the guide below if you wish to download and install the latest version of the beta 2 on your macOS device. Notably, this new update brings in screen time communication limit, pointer accessibility, timed lyrics for the music app, and more for the phone. Moreover, the Mail app brings in the new toolbar and has re-arranged the icons a bit.


The macOS Catalina was introduced by Apple back at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2019. Moreover, with the launch of Catalina, Apple brought the curtains down on its iTunes music services. Steps to Download and Install macOS Catalina

  1. Head to the developer’s website by clicking here and log in with your developer account.

  2. Click on the Download button located at the top right corner.

  3. Now, scroll down and click on Install Profile for macOS Catalina 10.15.4.
  4. Now double-click macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.pkg. This will launch the macOS utility screen for installation.
  5. Tap on Continue → Continue → and Agree to terms and conditions.
  6. Click on Install and then you need to enter the password which will enroll your profile with Beta profile.
  7. After the beta profile is successful, System Preferences will be automatically launched and it will try to locate the macOS update.
  8. Notably, it will detect the Catalina v10.15.4 update.
  9. Click on the “Upgrade” button to launch the macOS 10.15 setup.
  10. To begin the installation process, you need to click on Continue > Agree > Agree again > Install.
  11. That’s It!
