The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is receiving a brand new update from AT&T. The new software brings the May 2019 security patch for the device along with the Qualcomm baseline update. This latest upgrade comes with the build number N950USQS5DSE8. It is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie.
Though we are in the last week of June, this is not the latest month’s update which is seeding for the Note 8. As of now, only Galaxy S9 from T-Mobile has received the June 2019 patch.
The N950USQS5DSE8 is now rolling out in phases for the users. Obviously, everyone will not receive it at the same time frame. usually, OTAs knock into the devices automatically. This update is no exception. However, may be due to some reasons some of the users may not receive the update for days or weeks. So, they can search up for the latest update manually.
To do it go to Settings > System Update > tap on Check for Latest Updates.
If you see the N950USQS5DSE8 update is available, connect to the Wi-Fi and download the update. It weighs around 165 MB. So, downloading with Wi-Fi will help you to not get charged for carrier data. Besides, juice up your phone’s battery before updating. A low battery will not allow getting ahead with the new update.
Security patches are important for any device, especially for flagships. Even though it’s a late update, make sure to grab and install the N950USQS5DSE8 on your Note 8 as soon as it shows up.
