V12.5.2.0.QCPINXM: MIUI 12.5 India Stable ROM for Redmi 8A

Updated on October 27, 2021: Today Xiaomi finally rolled the MIUI 12.5 update to the device with software version V12.5.2.0.QCPINXM. The update is based on Android 10.

Updated on August 17, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled the Android 10 update for Redmi 8A in India with software version V11.0.1.0.QCPINXM. The update brings new changes along with Android 10 features such as Dark Mode, Live Caption, Smart Reply and more

Updated on June 08, 2020: Xiaomi Redmi 8A (codenamed olivelite) started receiving the May 2020 Android security patch update based on Android 9.0 Pie. The update is labeled with software version V11.0.9.0.PCPINXM. If you have not received this update on your Redmi 8A, then head down below and download MIUI 11.0.9.0 India Stable ROM for Redmi 8A.

Apart from May 2020 security patch, there are no major changes to the version. You can check for the software OTA updates manually by going into Settings > About phone > Software update. 

Alternatively, you can directly go to the Software Updater app on your device and check for the same. If the new May 2020 patch is available, just grab it. Make sure to connect your handset to a Wi-Fi network and the battery should be charged more than 50% minimum.

How to Install MIUI 11.0.1.0 India Stable ROM for Redmi 8A (olivelite)
