Moto G7 Play and E5 Play gets June Patch and E5 Plus gets May Patch Update

Motorola has released new software updates for the Moto G7 Play, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play in the U.S.A. Both the Moto G7 Play and E5 Play gets June Patch and E5 Plus gets May Patch Update officially. The Moto G7 Play has recently launched with a notch display and offers Android 9.0 Pie as well.

Earlier the update was released in the U.K. The update fixes some of the bugs and improves the system stability to the mentioned devices. However, you can say that the update only brings the latest Android Security Patch level. Both the Moto G7 Play and E5 Play gets June Patch 2019 with system improvements and bug fixes as well.

Moto E5 Play Update Changelog:

As we already mention that the Moto E5 Plus gets May Patch Update 2019 only. It doesn’t get any system improvements for now.

  • Android security: Includes the updates of Android security patches through June 1, 2019.

Check for OTA Updates Manually

OTA updates can take several days to receive on all the model variants completely. Users have to wait for some time. Software updates will be sent to your phone automatically over-the-air (OTA) whenever they available. You can manually check for the OTA updates on your device using the instructions below.

For a successful installation, we always recommend installing the software updates after connected to a Wi-Fi network and keep your device battery charged at least up to 50%.
  • Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
  • Go to “System”.
  • Tap on “System updates”.
  • Next, select “Download” option.
  • After the software download, select the “Install” button.
  • When the installation completes, your phone will restart automatically.
  • That’s it. You’ve successfully updated your device.
