Today Motorola started rolling out the latest update for Moto G5 Plus which carries the latest security patch for the month of August.  The update has started rolling to all Moto G5 Plus users in the USA running Android 7.0 Nougat with build version number NPN25.137-83. Earlier we had shared May Security Patch for Moto G5 Plus. The update is pushed via OTA for all Moto G5 Plus running Stock Nougat Firmware. Along with Security Patch update, the update also improves the emergency calling function, bug fixes, and other improvements.

Moto G5 Plus was launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February. The smartphone packs a mid-range specs with an affordable price. The new update is still based on Android 7.0 Nougat and no major changes with build NPN25.137-83. Download Install NPN25.137-83 August Security On Moto G5 Plus

This update is still based on Android 7.0 Nougat and not on Android 7.1 Nougat. There is nothing new in this update except the August Security update with build number NPN25.137-83 for Moto G5 Plus.
