Download and Install OCX27.109-36 Oreo Update on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force

Motorola Moto Z2 Force smartphone features a 5.50-inch display with a screen resolution of 1440×2560 pixels powered by 2.35GHz octa-core processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 12-megapixel rear camera. The device came out of the box with Android Nougat and recently the company started pushing Android 8.0 Oreo firmware. A few days back, we shared the first OTA download link for T-Mobile Moto Z2 force edition with build number OCX27. Today we have received a new update of Android 8.0 Oreo for T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force with build number OCX27.109-36.

Download and Install OCX27.109-36 Latest Update on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force

There is no official changelog from T-Mobile or Motorola for the new build number yet. But we assume this build brings the latest security patch along with bug fixes and improvement to the earlier released version. If you are still waiting for new OTA update (Over the air), then you can simply grab this build and flash it manually on your device. We recommend you to take a full backup before flashing this on your device.

If you want to check for the new OTA update, you can simply follow our instructions given below.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > System updates (System section).
  2. Tap Check for system update.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If advised that the software is up to date, tap OK.
    • If a software update is available:
      1. Tap Download.
      2. Once the download has completed, tap Install Now.

Before proceeding to download, make sure your phone has enough battery backup with at least 50% battery. Also, check if you have enough storage to download and install the latest update on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force. We suggest you to choose a Wi-Fi or a 4G connection to download it. Also, don’t forget to take the data backup to avoid any problem in case things go wrong. After following the procedure mentioned above, you can now start downloading the new OTA update on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force. As this update is based on Android 8.0.0, it wouldn’t take a lot of time to download and install.

Remember, your Moto Z2 Force must have a Stock Recovery in order to flash this update. If you don’t have a stock Recovery, then download the stock recovery for Moto Z2 Force below and flash the Stock Recovery using fastboot mode.

Pre-Requisite :

  1. Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%
  2. You need Laptop or PC.
  3. Working USB Cable.
  4. Charge your phone for at least 70% Battery.

  6. Make sure that you have Motorola USB drivers installed.
  7. Download the ADB Fastboot tools.
  8. Take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.

Steps to Install OCX27.109-36 Android Oreo on T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force

  1. First, you need to download all the required file from above
  2. Now you need to flash the Nougat firmware on your device.
  3. Once you are finished, you can complete the setup process.
  4. Now you need to sideload the OTA Oreo file to your phone. To do that,
  5. First get your phone into recovery mode.
  6. Please note: don’t rename the file name if you see a long name on it.
  7. To enter recovery mode, Hold Power and Volume Up button. This option will enter into recovery mode.
  8. Once you are in the recovery, select the option to apply update via ADB.
  9. Now run the ADB sideload command,
    adb sideload Filename.zip
  10. Remember: Filename.zip, here filename is the name of the OTA.
  11. This will start to update T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force to Android Oreo.
  12. Once the installation is completed, enjoy the Oreo build OCX27.109-36 on your phone.
