Sony launched the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact in September 2014. The smartphone came out of the box with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and later upgraded till Android Marshmallow OS. Sony has stopped official support to send any new update for this device. Since then, the developer has put their time and effort to build Custom ROM for this device. Today we will guide on How to Install OmniROM on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. This ROM is based on Android 8.1 Oreo [aries].

About the specs, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact features a 4.6 inches IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor clubbed with 2GB RAM. The device also comes with internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded using microSD card. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact sports a 20.7 MP rear camera and on the front, it has a 2.2MP camera for selfies.

To Install this Custom ROM, you need TWRP Recovery. First Unlock Bootloader and then install TWRP Recovery on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (aries). If you already installed TWRP, then you probably might be waiting for Custom ROM for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (aries). Now download and install OmniROM on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. This is an Unofficial Omni ROM built from source code by XDA member. This ROM is still under development so expect some bugs and lags. You can anytime revert back to Stock ROM on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact by flashing the Stock Firmware.

Remember this is not a stable ROM, but still, you can use it as a daily driver. In Case if you find any issue, you can revert back. The ROM is under development stage, the developer may soon release the stable version anytime soon.

PRE-REQUISITE 
  1. This will work on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (Don’t Try this on Any other device):
  2. Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
  3. You will lose the original ROM or any CUSTOM ROM if you already installed on your phone. So make sure to Backup your phone using TWRP before doing this step using TWRP or CWM or any Custom Recovery.
  4. You can also backup all your apps using Titanium Backup or you can Backup without any Root
  5. Download all the Zip files from below and Place it in your phone’s root of internal memory.
