If you are the owner of OnePlus 5 or 5T then, this piece of news might excite you as OnePlus has started rolling out the December 2019 security patch (H2OS) for both the smartphones. To recall both the devices were launched in 2017 and packs in the-then latest Snapdragon 835 processor, 6/8GB of RAM, offered up to 128GB of onboard storage. Both the OnePlus 5 and 5T were powered by the same 3300 mAh battery. However, the location of the fingerprint scanner was different as in the OnePlus 5 you get it on the front while in 5T, it was placed at the back. The latest update is currently available for users in China and also tags along with system stability fixes as well.
Note that the Chinese variants of the OnePlus device run on Hydrogen OS i.e. H2OS on top of Android. However, there is no information about the Android 10 update as of when and where these devices will be served with the latest version of Android. The updates are almost incremental in nature with some system stability fixes for OnePlus 5 and 5T. Moreover, both the updates are based on the Android 9 Pie.

Note that the updates are being pushed via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the devices. However, if you have not yet received the notification on your device then, you can head to Settings > System Update > Check for updates for manually checking for it. If there is a new notification of the update then, you can tap on it to install.
