When you talk about OnePlus, you literally never settle. The Chinese smartphone mammoth recently launched its 7th generation of smartphones dubbed OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 pro. Now, post the hardware launch the OEM is rolling out major improvements for the camera system of Oneplus 7. The brand new OnePlus 7 is also getting the May 2019 security patch update with the latest OxygenOS 9.5.5.
The software update weighs in about 125 MB. As of now, it is limiting itself to Germany. Hopefully, it will drop into other regions as well. It is pretty clear from the update log that OnePlus’ latest update is aiming to improve camera experience for the users.
The latest OxygenOS 9.5.5 improves camera contrast and color performance. Also, it improves the accuracy and stability of lens auto-focus. The images using nightscape effect will now have more clarity and better color. The low lighting mages will also reflect better clarity with improved brightness.
Though it’s not yet available everywhere, you can still try downloading it Manually. To do it, go to App drawer > Settings > System> System Updates> Check for Updates.
It is not that big at 125 MB but it’s better to use Wi-Fi to download and install the OxygenOS 9.5.5 instantly. You have to reboot your device post installation to integrate and apply the new updates.
OnePlus 7 is the immediate and budget successor to 2018 hit flagship OnePlus 6T. It sports the premium Snapdragon 855 chipset which is a significant hardware upgrade from its precursor. Also, it packs dual camera of 48 MP + 5 MP on the rear along with 16 MP selfie shooter. Out-of-the-box OnePlus 7 runs Android 9.0 Pie.
So, watch out for the OxygenOS 9.5.5 if you’re sporting the all new OnePlus 7. Make sure to grab the update to improve your phone’s camera system and fortify its security with the latest month’s patch.
