OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 8 series of smartphones in the Q2 of 2020. Earlier OnePlus had a media conference in China, where the brand explains the screen tech and announced that they had completed the OLED display which supports the 120Hz screen refresh rate. India has been one of the major markets for OnePlus these years. Till 2019 OnePlus uses to launch a normal device and it’s T device. But since last year, they launch a “Pro” version for normal and T devices.
With OnePlus 8 series, the brand is also entering into mid-range segment i.e. this year there is a new device with the name OnePlus 8 Lite. The brand is expecting more sales for this since in India there are more mid-range smartphone users than flagship users. Ahead of the OnePlus 8 series, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifies the upcoming OnePlus 8. This certification shows that the smartphone will have a model number of “IN2011”.
The BIS certification doesn’t reveal the name of the smartphone and it doesn’t reveal any other information of the device except for this model number. Recently China’s Ministry of Industry and Information technology (MIIT) certifies a smartphone with the model number “IN2010”. The MIIT certification only confirms that it will have support for dual-mode 5G. Recently a smartphone with the model number “IN2023” appears on GeekBench listing and it would be the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. You can read that story by clicking on this text.
