Xiaomi Redmi 7 (onclite) was launched in August 2019. The handset came with Android 9.0 Pie. Now you can install the Custom ROM called PixysOS on Xiaomi Redmi 7. The ROM is based on Android 11 R. Full Credits to the developer and the team behind PixysOS.

To install PixysOS on Xiaomi Redmi 7, your device should have Bootloader Unlocked and should be running on the latest TWRP Recovery. If you have all this, then you are good to try the new PixysOS on your device. Follow our guide on how to upgrade, but before that. Let’s understand the features of PixysOS.

The dual Nano-SIM supported Redmi 7A sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD HD display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. It’s powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 mobile platform coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Redmi 7A offers 2GB/3GB of RAM and the 16GB/32GB of onboard storage variant. The storage can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card. It features a single 5MP selfie camera with AI modes on the front side and a rear 13MP single camera on the backside with an LED flash as well.

Steps to Install PixysOS on Xiaomi Redmi 7:

Follow this guide and download the TWRP recovery, drivers and things to start with.



Instructions to Install

  1. First of all, boot into TWRP Recovery
  2. You need to Decrypt and Re-Encrypt Data Partition on Xiaomi Redmi 7.
  3. You can now take a complete backup of your ROM using TWRP Recovery.
  4. Now you need Wipe System Data on TWRP Recovery
  5. Tap on Install option and look for the downloaded PixysOS zip file. [Guide to install Custom ROM using TWRP Recovery]
  6. Swipe to confirm the flashing.
  7. Now you need to install the Android 11 Gapps file. (TWRP -> Install -> Select Gapps zip and swipe to flash)
  8. You can now reboot to enjoy PixysOS on Xiaomi Redmi 7.
  9. If you want to root you can either try or you can try Magisk.
