Samsung Galaxy A71 5G to hit the US!
This was reported by SamMobile; the website in which everyone depends on them for Samsung device’s news. According to the report, the brand is gearing up their works for launching two new variants of the Samsung Galaxy A71. These two new variants will sport the model number “SM-A716U” for the carrier version and “SM-A716U1” for the unlocked version respectively. Two months back they reported that a new variant of Galaxy A71 will launch in China.
The upcoming Galaxy A71 5G would be the second device from the “A” series to support 5G. The first device in the “A” series was the Samsung Galaxy A90 to sport 5G. Further, they also report that the Samsung Galaxy A71 would be the first device to sport the in-house Exynos 980 SoC. This chipset is built on the 8nm process and it has two Cortex A77 cores (the first in the industry) and six Cortex A55 cores. This chipset pairs a Mali-G76 for GPU purpose.
Earlier the in-house Exynos 9825, required an external 5G modem for 5G support, but the Samsung Exynos 980 comes with a 5G modem. This helps in bringing power consumption down and it also has support for WiFi 6; this feature is only currently used by Samsung flagships. Further, the Exynos 980 also supports HDR 10+ video decoding and can work with cameras with a resolution of up to 108MP. We don’t have any other information about the device. Let’s wait for things to get official.
