While Samsung users, like other OEMs users are waiting for the big release of the Android 11 update. Samsung, OnePlus, and other brands have already shared beta builds of Android 11 for their eligible devices. For Samsung users especially, Android 11 will bring tons of new changes as it will also bundle the One UI 3.0 skin. However, there are some Samsung Galaxy users that are waiting for the One UI 2.5 update before they can get their hands on Android 11. These are the owners of the Galaxy S10 series phones. Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus is the previous year’s flagship model and it came with Android 9 Pie One UI 1.0 out of the box.
Now it is a no brainer than whenever the Android 11 update arrives for Samsung phones, the first device to get updated would be the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series devices, as they are the current flagships from the company. This means that Samsung Galaxy S10 users would have to wait for some more time before they can taste the Android 11 One UI 3.0 features. So, it already makes sense that Galaxy S10 series users are waiting for the One UI 2.5 update rather than Android 11. In this post, we will try to give you all the information available for the One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy S10 series. So, without any further ado, let us get straight into the article itself:
Samsung Galaxy S10 Series One UI 2.5 Update Status: When Will It Receive?
Well, as of now, there is no information regarding the release date for the One UI 2.5 update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. But, a recent report suggests that we might be getting the update sooner than we think. Notably, as per user shared screenshots of test builds, Samsung is testing a new test build of firmware. And as we already know Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are already running on the Android 10 OS, this can be the One UI 2.5 update.
As seen from the screenshots, the current build of the firmware is CTG3 on the Galaxy S10 series devices. While the test build carries version DTH4. However, note that this is for the users in Korea. So, the users of the Galaxy S10 series in Korea might get their hands on the One UI 2.5 update first followed by other regions. However, there are chances that Samsung might shift its focus in delivering the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update for Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series and the One UI 2.5 update might get delayed.
