One of the major U.S. carriers, Sprint has started rolling out the January 2020 security patchset for one of the best offerings in 2019, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. To recall, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G was launched in May 2019 and packs in the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, with 6-12 GB of RAM, offers up to 256 GB of onboard storage, a 6.67-inch display along with 90Hz refresh rate, and a huge 4,000 mAh battery. In the camera department, it sports a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary shooter. and in the front, you get a motorized 16MP pop-up camera.
The latest update from Sprint carries the version number 9.5.17.GM25CC for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. However, the weight of the update is not known. This update is purely incremental in nature and does not bring anything except the security patchset. Note that this update is still based on the Android 9 Pie and the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is still awaiting the Android 10 update. Note that the updates are being pushed via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the devices. However, if you have not yet received the notification on your device then, you can head to Settings > System Update > Check for updates for manually checking for it.
