When it comes to the OnePlus devices, the Chinese smartphone brand doesn’t lack behind to provide software updates frequently. Even the security patch updates are available from the company for most of the devices. The OnePlus 6T currently runs on Android 9 Pie update based on OxygenOS 9 skin. This year OnePlus has released the August 2019 Security patch update to OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro faster than Google Pixel. Whereas, the last year’s flagship model OnePlus 6T has started receiving the August patch.
Though the October month is running and other devices are receiving the latest October Security Patch officially. But when it comes to the T-Mobile carrier variant, the carrier offers quite slow than others. Therefore, OnePlus don’t have any fault in this late update process. The T-Mobile OnePlus 6T August 2019 Security patch offers system security improvements and vulnerability fixes. It also brings the updated Google Maps version and has improved the device performance as well. It’s worth mentioning that the firmware update is based on Android 9 Pie over OxygenOS 9.0.14 version. The OTA update weighs around 260.6MB in size.
