ZTE started rolling the latest update based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat for ZTE Nubia Z17 (NX563J). The update brings a couple of improvements and bug fixes. With this update, ZTE bumped the software version to v4.02 for ZTE Nubia Z17. Now you can grab the download and upgrade your ZTE Nubia Z17 to v4.02.
The update optimized some of the ZTE application interfaces, Optimized Bluetooth stability, File Manager, and another minor improvement.

The update is now rolling via OTA (over the air) for users who are using Stock ROM without any roots. If you didn’t receive the new update, then you can check for the update manually from your phone settings menu. If you are running Stock Firmware without root or modifications, then you will receive the latest OTA 4.02 on your phone anytime soon. The update is sent via OTA (Over the Air) and it may take few hours or couple of days to reach your phone. The OTA is sent in a phase-wise manner. You can check for the upgrade through FOTA Settings –> About Phone –> System update. Check for the update, if you do have the latest update, then hit the DOWNLOAD button to download and install the firmware manually.

Steps For Install Nubia UI 5.0 v4.02 For ZTE Nubia Z17 NX563J
To update the Stock Firmware Nubia UI 4.02 for Nubia Z17 based Android 7.1.1 Nougat, you can either use any of the methods below. Follow the guide properly to flash the Android 7.1.1 Nougat Nubia UI 5.0 4.02 for Nubia Z17.
Method 1
- Download the ZIP file and rename it to update.zip
- Copy the update.zip file to your sd card.
- Navigate to the phone Settings -–>Update and Click on the menu button.
- It will automatically recognize the zip file
- Tap on install button to start installation process automatically.
