The tablet is powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage option.

Manually Check for OTA Update

Samsung always provides software OTA updates in incremental mode and it may take some time to receive globally. In case, if you’re not receiving any OTA updates, you can check it manually.

  • Go to your device Settings > System Update. 
  • Tap on Check for Latest Updates. 
  • If the latest update is available for your handset, then tap on Download and Install it.

Verizon Galaxy Tab A (8.0) 2018 Android Q Timeline Tracker

Due to the budget hardware specifications, it’s quite expected that this tablet may not get the Android Q update very soon. Because it’s still running on Android 8.1 Oreo version. The Galaxy Tab A (8.0) 2018 tablet may get the Android 9.0 Pie update by the end of this year most probably.

While Google’s Android 10 Q is the latest major Android version released a few months ago. It’s currently available as a beta mode in some of the selected flagship-grade smartphones. Therefore, we have to wait for the official stable release of Android Q within a few months. Then we can assume whether this device will get the update by next year or not.
