New update added on June 1, 2020: Verizon has pushed the May 2020 security update for the Moto Z3 smartphone. The update is purely incremental in nature and does not bring any new features to the device. It arrives with version number PDXS29.84-51-11-2. Here is the complete changelog of the update:

One of the major US carriers, Verizon has pushed the Android 10 update in the back burner for the Motorola Moto Z3 as per recent reports, a new security update for the Moto Z3 is rolling out. Notably, the update brings the March 2020 security patch update for the phone, which is based on Android 9 Pie. The company was scheduled to roll out the Android 10 update for the Moto Z3 phone somewhere this month, but now it seems like the company has some different plans, all together for the phone. Talking about the update, it brings just the March 2020 security patch and does not bring anything new, meaning it is totally incremental in nature.

Note that the Moto Z3 was launched back in 2018 and it is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor, a dual-camera setup at the back with 12 MP primary camera, a 3000 mAh battery and it comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. This means that the Android 10 update for the phone will be its second and last firmware update. As always this new update for the Moto Z3 will be rolling out via OTA in batches and will take some time in hitting all the units.
