Vernee is on the verge of releasing yet another budget smartphone, the Vernee M6, to its portfolio. The device will be the upgrade to the Vernee M5 which was released mid-2017.
I must say; it’s really impressive seeing Vernee churns out outstanding devices like the Vernee Thor Plus, Vernee Thor Plus E, Vernee X with 6GB RAM and Face ID unlock and the Vernee Mix 2 which was a rival to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 etc.
With the Vernee M6, Vernee plants its feet deeper in the Bezel-less world. The device features have an 18:9 aspect ratio and many other modern day specs. See some below;
The Vernee M6 has the latest and trendy 18:9 aspect ratio and a bezel-less full view screen. It’s almost like the device has no side bezel but to the top and bottom, a little chunk of bezels are observable.
The screen is sized at 5.7-inches with HD+ resolution (1440 x 720 pixels) and 282 PPI pixel density. The screen is an LCD display – meaning more vibrant and detailed colours, as well as wide viewing angles, is assured. The screen is almost perfect – would have been perfect if only there was any protection mechanism (like Corning Gorilla Glass).
Processor, OS, and Storage
Beneath the fine metal body is a MediaTek MT6750 processor. The processor has 8-cores of Cortex-A53 CPUs and clocks up to 1.5GHz. The unit in charge of graphical representation is the Mali T860 GPU and you can trust the onboard 4GB of RAM to smoothly launch and run any kind of games and applications you wish to run on the Vernee M6.
Internally, there is 64GB of memory that can be expanded to double (128GB) of its initial size by placing a Micro SD card in the SIM 2 slot.
The device comes out-of-the-box running Vernee’s native operating system, VOS. The OS is however based on the Google’s Android Nougat v7.0 operating system – known for efficient multitasking experience and power management.
Camera and Battery
On the rear, there is a single lens of 13-megapixels quality (can be beefed up to 16MP via software interpolation) and on the front, an 8-megapixels selfie camera. Features of the primary camera include Continue shooting, HDR, ISO settings, Panorama, Self-timer, Scene Mode etc.
The secondary (selfie) camera has a special “beauty effect mode” that adds extra touches to your selfies, beautify you and hives it a more natural look.
You are definitely aware of how redundant the features if any smartphone are when there’s no sufficient or decent battery juice to enjoy the features. Well, the Vernee M6 isn’t one of such smartphones. The device comes with a 3,300mAh battery which has a standby period of up to 240 hours (10 days) and charge time of 2.5 hours.
