Vivo Z1 Marks Entry In China: Brings Promising Upper Mid-Range Features

It looks that the Chinese OEMs believe in always staying a notch above. Well, while we keep intending puns, popular Chinese OEM VIVO is rolling an all-new device in China. It’s the VIVO Z1 which is an upper mid-range device and first phone in the Z series. It is available in 3 stunning finishes which are red, blue and black. The device runs on Snapdragon 660 processor with a 4GB of RAM and 64 GB ROM. You can expand the internal storage up to 256 GB with MicroSD card.

As you can see from the images above, Vivo Z1 takes its usual design inspiration from Apple’s iPhone X. The device has a 6.26-inch LCD display of 2280 X 1080 resolution. As ritualistic as it gets, we get a notch on the display.

Vivo will be releasing x21 in India on May 29, 2018, its upcoming flagship device  This phone will have on display fingerprint scanner. Now with the Z1 release in China Vivo is trying its best to keep its flag flying high in the Asian smartphone market.

The Z1 comes with Hybrid SIM support which means you can use one SIM with MicroSD card. Otherwise, you may also use 2 SIM card together.

The camera set up of Z1 is quite powerful with a vertical dual rear camera. It includes 13 MP primary camera with a 2MP telephoto lens. As usual, Vivo concentrates on creating a good front face camera too. This results in a 12 MP selfie shooter on the front side of Z1.

The other features onboard this mid-ranger devices include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor etc. A robust battery of 3260 mAh powers up the phone.

The pricing of the Vivo Z1 is quite apt considering its specifications. This phone costs Chinese Yuan 1,799 which on conversion becomes 240 Euro/$279. It is already up for sale and pre-order on e-commerce websites.

So, those who look for a latest mid-range device can try out the Vivo Z1 can go for this. It is not a flagship, yet being an efficient mid-range phone it can give strong competition to similar smartphones from other OEMs.
