Xiaomi has recently launched the Mi Note 2 smartphone which is the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Note. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also the flagship device from Xiaomi for the year 2016 and the smartphone was launched last year after the Xiaomi Mi5. As far as the Mi Note 2 is concerned, it is the flagship phablet from the company and the smartphone has been selling well in the Chinese markets. Xiaomi also launches a pair of flagship smartphone as well as a flagship phablet same as Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphones and the Galaxy Note smartphones. Talking about the Mi Note 2 from Xiaomi, we have also known that the company will launch the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 later this year. However, there have been no details about the Mi Note 3 yet.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will come later this year but the company has launched a new smartphone which is a special edition of the Mi Note 2 in the Chinese markets. Talking about the changes in the Mi Note 2 special edition from the regular Mi Note 2, the smartphone is now available in a 6GB+64GB variant which means 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Earlier, the 6GB variant of the Mi Note 2 was only available in 128GB storage.
In terms of the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 special edition, the smartphone comes with 5.7-inch dual-curved AMOLED display and the device is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a 22.5MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. The smartphone is backed by a massive 4,070mAh battery. The smartphone also offers support for Quick Charge 3.0. Talking about the price of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 special edition, the smartphone is launched in China with the price set at CNY 2899 ($426) and is currently available with a CNY 300 discount which brings the effective price down to CNY 2599 ($382).
