Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite lunches globally on October 17, starting from Ukraine

A Chinese smartphone company launched its latest flagship smartphone in its home market last month called Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. The company also promised that it will launch the phone globally also. It looks like the company all set to release the Mi 8 Lite globally and starting from Europe this week.

The company’s spokesman, Donovan Sung on Twitter revealed and confirmed that the Xiaomi will launch the Mi 8 Lite smartphone first in Ukraine on Wednesday, October 17th. The company holding a launch event in the capital city of Kiev at 1900 hrs local time.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite flagship smartphone comes with a 6.26-inch display that supports 1080 x 2280 pixels of resolution and offers 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone also comes with notch design on top of the display and the screen-to-body ratio of slightly over 82%. It powered by Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor under the hood. The phone will available in two RAM and ROM variants, one comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage and other comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

The Mi 8 Lite smartphone featured with dual camera sensors on the back side, 12-megapixel main camera sensor and 5-megapixel secondary camera sensor. On the front side, it has a 24-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls. There is no IR face unlock features like the Mi 8 and Mi 8 pro smartphone or the 3D face unlock like the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. It has a fingerprint scanner only. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box along with latest MIUI running on top.

Xiaomi’s latest flagship smartphone packed with 3350 mAh capacity battery inside the body which supports Quick Charge 3.0 through USB-C port.


There are also speculations that the company will launch the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite in Taiwan soon.
