Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro ready to go global, starting from Taiwan

A couple of weeks ago, Chinese smartphone company launched the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro smartphone in its home market. Now the company all set to make it global. The Mi 8 Pro is an upgraded version of the Mi 8. The company holding an event for the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro flagship smartphone on October 23 in Taiwan. The phone comes with in display fingerprint scanner. The phone will available online on Xiaomi Mall and Mi Store at NT$15,999 ($516, 3600 yuan) price tag.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro problems

In terms of specifications, the Mi 8 Pro comes with a transparent glass panel on the back side and also it has a glass panel on the front. The phone features a 6.21-inch AMOLED display panel which supports 2248 x 1080 pixels and offers 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The display of the phone also supports DCI-P3 color gamut, Always-On Display, sun screen and eye protection mode features. The Mi 8 Pro flagship powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood which clocks at 2.8GHz.

On the board, there is 8 GB of RAM and 128 Gb internal storage. For the graphics process, there is Adreno 630 GPU on board. The phone featured with the dual 12-megapixel camera on the back side along with Dual-LED flash. The main camera sensor comes with f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.55″ lens size, 1.4µm pixel size, 4-axis OIS and dual pixel PDAF. The secondary camera sensor has a f/2.4 aperture, 1/3.4″ lens size, 1.0µm pixel size, AF and 2x optical zoom features. On the front side, there is a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro packed with Non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery which supports fast battery charging (Quick Charge 4.0+). It also comes with an Infrared face recognition feature. It has pre-installed Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box.
