Xiaomi managed to roll out the Android 10 update for Mi A2 by early 2020. However, in no time the update was rolled back due to apparent bug issues. Fixing the unknown issues, the Chinese OEM has resumed the rollout of the Mi A2 Android 10 update. The fresh system update is moving with build number V188.8.131.52.QDIMIXM.
Those who have already installed the previous update can also install the new QDIMIXM update. In case anyone never received the update till now on their Mi A2, they can also install the system upgrade.
Though the new software should fix the bugs, users say otherwise. Apparently, the QDIMIXM update doesn’t solve any previously present bugs. As per the users, adaptive brightness, battery life, Quick Settings are still buggy. The device is only getting stepped up to the January patch.
Though users will be getting the OTA updates automatically, it is still an automatic process. So, those who do not want to wait for the QDIMIXM update can manually install it on their devices. We have put up the firmware file for the same build. You can download it and use the installation guide to flash it on your devices.

Check for OTA
If you have been anticipating a fresh OTA update from the Mi servers and still not received it, then check for it manually. Go to Settings > System > Software Update. Check for a new update. In case the QDIMIXM update is rolling in your region, you will be notified about it.
In case you never installed the previous system update to Android 10, then you will receive the update sized at over 1 GB. If you had installed the first installment of the Android 10, then you should get the new software weighing around 163 MB.
Nevertheless, to download the system update we recommend you to use a stable Wi-Fi network. Also, juice up your smartphone before installing the new software update. With a low battery, your device will not allow you to begin the installation process.
