Google finally released the 9th iteration of Android OS called Android 9.0 Pie. The update has rolled for Pixel supported devices and few other OEM supported with Android Beta. After putting Android users through four beta updates of Android P, Google has named Android 9.0 as Android Pie. It is expected that in the coming months all the devices that had been signed up for the Android P beta program including the OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21 and more will receive the Android P update first.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a 5.5-inches display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3/4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32/64GB internal memory which can expand up to 256GB via MicroSD. The camera on the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 comes with 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2, phase detection autofocus, LED flash and 16MP front shooting camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and a Non-removable Li-Ion 3080 mAh battery. It also has a Fingerprint sensor in the back. The handset supports dual sim with 4G on both slot. It comes with connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wifi, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G.
When will Xiaomi release Android 9.0 Pie update for Xiaomi Redmi Y1?
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is a pocket-friendly product. Good for a selfie. The handset came out of the box with Android 7.0 Nougat. This device will get the official Android 8.0 Oreo update anytime soon. But there is no further update whether this device will receive official Android 9.0 Pie update. Xiaomi has not yet announced the device list and ETA (estimated time of arrival), we will keep the post updating.
