Xiaomi has recently launched the flagship smartphone from the company for this year which is the Mi6. Xiaomi’s Mi6 is also the successor to the Mi5 which was launched last year. Also, the company has announced the Mi Max2 which is the successor to the last year’s Mi Max which is a phablet device from the company. Now, Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Mi Max 2 as well as the Mi6 in the Hong Kong markets after releasing the phone in China.
Talking about the specifications, the Mi 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM whereas the Mi Max 2 runs on the power efficient Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4GB of RAM. Both devices have Full HD displays but the Mi6 has a smaller display with 5.15-inch of the flagship whereas the larger 6.44-inch panel on the phablet has lower pixel density. Talking about the software, the Mi6 was released with Android 7.1.1 Nougat similar to the Mi Max 2. Both of the smartphones run the custom version of Android from Xiaomi called MIUI8.
Also, there have been some rumors from Xiaomi that the next version of MIUI which is the MIUI9 is expected to come out very soon. Both of the devices which are launched will certainly get the MIUI9 update and the update is expected to bring a fresh design alongside newer features. Also, do note that the phones are also left out to be released in India so Xiaomi could bring the phones to India as well very soon.
